Man arrested with 30 gold bar in Feni !
A middle aged man along with 30 gold bars has been caught by the Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Tuesday afternoon from Rampur area of Feni district.
The detained is Nurul Islam, a resident of Hathazari upazila in Chattogram. RAB-7 company commander Junaed Mehedi said acting on a tip-off, a team of the elite force set a check post on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Rampur area in the afternoon.
“RAB members chased and stopped a private car on the highway after its driver attempted to flee the scene ignoring the signal for stop. Searching the car they seized 30 gold bars worth Tk 2.1 core,” said the official.
Process of lodging case with Feni Model Police Station is underway in this connection.
