Stolen nascant baby found dead in pond !
A nascant baby of 17-day-old from a minority group was found dead in a pond at Gabtola village in Morrelganj upazila of Bagerhat district early Wednesday. Before it , the minor girl who went missing on November 15.
Deceased Sanjida Akter Sohana was stolen from bed early Sunday (November 15) when she was sleeping with her parents –Sujan Khan and Shanta Akter, residents of the village.
Te victim’s paternal grandfather Md Ali Hossain Khan filed a case with Morrelganj Police Station on Monday night.Locals said, after the girl was missing, they searched in the pond in different ways including netting. But the girl could not be found.
However, the floating-body of the girl was found in the pond at early hours.
Investigation officer of the case Morrelganj OC Thakur Das Mondal said police went to the spot this morning and recovered the body.
The body was sent to Bagerhat Hospital morgue.
