Fakhrul sees no democracy in the country

Bangladesh National Party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that democracy is absent in the country and Terming democracy as the main spirit of country’s independence has faded away a long ago.
Fakhrul made the comment on Saturday at the first meeting of its central committee formed to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Bangladesh’s Independence.
He claimed that existence of independence is endangered now. “The government is continuing its oppression on masses,” said Fakhrul.
The BNP secretary general asked his party men to take all steps for making a successful celebration of Golden Jubilee of the Independence.
