Crimes in Barishal increasing alarmingly!
Various crimes in Barishal district is reporting increasing as the reported number of crimes in recent days have shockingly increased. A total of 932 crimes were committed during 92 days of three months –August, September and October 2020.
Of them, 406 crime incidents were reported in four police stations under Barishal Metropolitan Police (BMP) and the rest 526 were reported in other ten police stations of the district.
According to the crime reports placed before the monthly meeting of district law and order committee, the monthly break-up of the reported crimes are: 292 in August, 291 in September and 349 in October.
Among the reported crimes committed in last three months, 10 were murder, 160 were torture on woman and children, 62 were theft, and 283 were drug related crimes.
