Man hanged himself after rejected from marriage proposal !
A man reportedly took his own life at Sonaimuri municipality in Noakhali district on Saturday after his girlfriend’s family turned down his marriage proposal. Deceased Md Kasem, 27, was the son of Daia Mia, a resident of Papua village in the municipality.
Family sources said he had been in relation with a girl in the area. Kasem sent his mother to the girl’s family with marriage proposal, but the family refused the proposal. Later on Saturday noon, Kasem hanged himself with a mango tree in an abandoned garden.
Confirming the matter, Sonaimuri Police Station officer in-charge (OC) Md Gias Uddin said on information, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue.
