Maldives president to be present on Mujib Barsho

Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih will arrive in Dhaka to take part in the golden jubilee of the Independence and Mujib Borsho celebrations. Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen made the remarks after a bilateral meeting with Maldivian Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid at the state guest house, Padma, in the capital on Tuesday afternoon.

An agreement has been signed between Bangladesh and Maldives Foreign Service Institute to take workers, said the Foreign Minister.

“The Maldives will assist Bangladesh in the Rohingya issue,” he also said.

The meeting discussed the legalization of illegal workers. The Foreign Minister also mentioned that regional communication is one of the top issues.
