Facebook conveys it decision on Al Jazeera’s report

PBC News: Online social media Facebook has agreed to remove the Qatar-based Al Jazeera’s report  styled “All The Prime Minister’s Men” from its platform. “Facebook has informed the Bangladesh government about its decision to remove the Al-Jazeera report from its platform,” said Posts and Telecommunications minister Mostofa Jabber on Saturday evening.

The Telecommunications minister said, “We hold talks with the Facebook authorities in Bangladesh. We also discussed with  Sabhanaz Rashid Diya, Bangladesh Affairs Officer in the Public Policy Department of Facebook. Facebook officially said they would remove the Al-Jazeera’s report from their platform soon.”

Earlier on February 17 last, High Court directed the BTRC to remove “All The Prime Minister’s Men” from the internet following the hearing
