Fakhrul was speaking as the chief guest at a discussion organised at the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) in the capital on Saturday afternoon commemorating the 14th anniversary of death of former BNP secretary general KM Obaidur Rahman.
Referring to the attacks on the Hindu community at Noagaon in Shalla of Sunamganj district, Fakhrul said such undesirable incidents take place whenever the administration fails to ensure safety and security of people, and maintain peaceful co-existance.
BNP standing committee member Dr Khondker Mosharraf Hossain said the Awami League government has been celebrating the golden jubilee of independence bringing foreign guests in the country and keeping people to confinement.
