Hindu minorities leaving for India due to AL torture: BNP
PBC News: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has alleged that Hindu minorities are moving to India being the victims of torture during the Awami League rule.
He asked, “Why the people of the minority communities are moving to India even after Awami League is in power today? What is the reason?”

Mirza Fakhrul made the allegation at a press conference at BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan office in Dhaka on Thursday.
He said, “This is happening (torture on minorities) because torture has increased on them more than the previous times and the aim is to seize their property, take advantage of their various opportunities and loot their goods.”
The BNP secretary general also questioned why the government is not repealing the Enemy Property Act enacted during the Pakistan period.
He said, “The Awami League says that they want to protect communal harmony, they want to protect the interests of minorities. But so far, they have not repealed the Enemy Property Act, they (minorities) have the fair rights they have.”
