Saudi citizen sentenced to death for killing Bangladeshi
PBC News: A Saudi Arabia court has sentenced Omar al-Shammari, a Saudi Arabi citizen, to death for killing Bangladeshi citizen Sagar Patwari in Dammam 15 years ago.

In June 2006, Umar Al Shammeri had an altercation with Sagar at a petrol pump on Abu Hadaria Road in Dammam. At one stage of it, Umar fired a pistol and Sagar was killed on the spot.
Local law enforcement body detained Umar al-Shammeri in 2018.
Bangladesh embassy representatives have so far participated in 12 hearings in the Dammam Criminal Court seeking the death sentence for the accused on behalf of the heirs of the deceased.
On March 24, the court sentenced the accused to death by beheading after the charges against him were proved.
The deceased Sagar Patwari was the son of Haji Sona Miah of Nagirpar village in Barura upazila of Cumilla
