Ex-State Minister Mufti Wakkas dies
Former state minister for religious affairs Mufti Muhammad Wakkas passed away at a hospital in the capital early Wednesday. He was 73.

He breathed his last at about 4:40am while underwent treatment at Gastro Liver Hospital and Research Institute Ltd.
Mufti Wakkas had been undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit of the hospital for a long time.
The former Minister will be buried in Jashore’s Monirampur after Maghrib prayers, Mawlana Abdul Malek Chowdhury, joint secretary general of Jomiyot e Ulama e Islam, confirmed.
