নব নির্বাচিত কমিটির সভাপতি বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা ডাঃ আলী আহাম্মেদ, নব নির্বাচিত কমিটির সাধারণ সম্পাদক আ স ম খালেদুর রহমান সবুজ সদ্য বিদায়ী ভারপ্রাপ্ত সভাপতি মোহাম্মদ মোমেন ও সাধারণ সম্পাদক সালাউদ্দিন চৌধুরী সহ কার্যকরী কমিটির সকল নেতৃবৃন্দ তাদের দায়িত্ব বুঝে নিয়ে ভবিষ্যৎ ঐক্যবদ্ধ কমিউনিটি গড়ার শপথ গ্রহণ করেন।

অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসাবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন ডাঃ খন্দকার মাসুদ রহমান, বিশেষ অতিথি হিসাবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন জনাব কাজী তোফায়েল ইসলাম, ছিলেন বাংলাদেশ সোসাইটির সাধারণ সম্পাদক রুহুল আমিন সিদ্দিকী ও বাংলাদেশ সোসাইটির সাবেক সভাপতি মহিউদ্দিন দেওয়ান এছাড়া বাংলাদেশ পুলিশের এডিশনাল ডিআইজি জনাব মনিরুজ্জামান।

প্রথমেই কোরআন তেলাওয়াত করেন শাহ মোয়াল্লেম হোসেন, অনুষ্ঠানের শুরুতে কুমিল্লা জেলার ইতিহাস তুলে ধরেন স্বপন রেজা এছাড়া অন্যান্য বক্তারা আয়োজিত অনুষ্ঠানে ব্যাপক জন উপস্থিতি থাকায় অনুষ্ঠানকে এক খন্ড কুমিল্লা বলে উল্লেখ করেন।

মনোরম এই অনুষ্ঠানে বেশ কয়েকজনকে কমিনিউটিতে অবদান রাখায় বিশেষ এওয়ার্ড প্রদান করা হয়।

শপথ পাঠ, সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান ও নৈশ ভোজের মাধ্যমে অনুষ্ঠানের সমাপ্তি ঘটে।
