JU Professor found dead at Uttara flat
PBC News: Teacher-columnist Professor Tareq Shamsur Rehman was found dead inside his flat in the capital’s Uttara area on Saturday.
Turag Police broke open the door of his flat at noon and recovered the body.

He was the teacher of International Relations Department at Jahangirnagar University (JU).
Professor Shafiqur Rahman of the Urban and Regional Planning Department of JU, who is also an inhabitant of the same building, confirmed the matter to the media.
Shamsur Rehman’s body was found lying in front of the bathroom where he vomited.
Police recovered the body and took it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Md Shahidullah, deputy commissioner (DC) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s (DMP) Uttara Division, said his domestic help went to the house this morning and found the door locked.
Tareq Shamsur Rehman took Iftar at his home last evening. Everyone in his family lives outside the country, the official added.
