Ekushey Padak-winning actor SM Mohsin passes away
PBC News: Ekushey Padak-winning actor SM Mohsin has died of COVID-19 at a hospital in Dhaka.
The theatre activist breathed his last at about 9:30am on Sunday at BIRDEM Hospital, his son Based Mohsin confirmed.
He had been undergoing treatment at the hospital after being infected with Covid-19 recently.

The veteran actor will be laid to rest at Azimpur graveyard following a namaj-e-janaza after Asr prayers, said Directors Guilds President Salahuddin Lavlu.
Mohsin was honored with the Ekushey Padak award in 2020. He worked in Shilpakala Academy for a long time and also taught at Jahangirnagar University.
He was born in 1948 at Mirzapur, Tangail and completed his alma mater in Bangla and Journalism at Dhaka University. SM Mohsin later channeled his knowledge through becoming a faculty member of the Department of Drama and Dramatics at Jahangirnagar University.
