PBC News: A Dhaka court on Sunday placed Hefazat-e-Islam’s nayeb-e-ameer Dr Ahmad Abdul Qader on a five-day remand in a case filed for violence by Hefazat men at Shapla Chattar in Dhaka in 2013.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate MohammadJashim passed the order after police produced Abdul Qader seeking 10-day remand.
A team of Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested Dr Abdul Kader from West Agargaon area in Dhakaon Saturday.
Several cases have been filed against him in connection with Hefazat’s clash at Shapla Chattar and the recent violence.
