Dipu Moni will tell on Wednesday when schools, colleges will reopen
PBC News: Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni will inform the countrymen through a press conference on Wednesday whether the government will extend the holiday in educational institutions after May 29 amid the ongoing lockdown to prevent coronavirus transmission.

Mohammad Abul Khair, PRO of the Ministry of Education, said the Education Minister’s press conference will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday.He said the Education Minister will hold a virtual press conference regarding the ongoing holidays at the educational institutions.
On Sunday, the Cabinet Division extended the lockdown till midnight on May 30 adding some conditions. Keeping 50 per cent seats vacant, all inter-district transports have been allowed to ply. Besides, hotels, restaurants and food shops have been opened. Trains and launches have also been given permission to resume service on condition of keeping half of their seats empty.
Demand has also been raised to reopen the educational institutions in the wake of relaxing the ongoing lockdown. Students have become badly affected due to closure of educational institutions for coronavirus pandemic for a long time. In such a situation, informed sources have insisted reopening the educational institutions as early as possible.
However, many have also expressed their differences of opinion regarding the reopening of schools and colleges.
