BNP sends medicines for Palestinians
PBC News: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has sent medicines and medical equipment for the Palestinians who have been devastated by recent Israeli attacks.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir handed over the medicines and medical equipment to Palestine Ambassador to Bangladesh Yousef Saleh Y Ramadan at the Palestinian Embassy at Baridhara in Dhaka on Wednesday afternoon.
Speaking on the occasion, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said Palestinian people became the unjust and brutal attacks of Israel. More than 200 people including women and children were killed and many more were injured in the brutal Israeli attacks. Many houses, schools and colleges were destroyed by Israel. BNP has condemned the attack from the very beginning.
The BNP Secretary General said, “We have sent a letter to Palestine President Abu Abbas condemning the Israeli attacks and expressed our solidarity with the people of Palestine. At the directive of the party’s acting chairman Tareque Rahman, we are sending medicines and medical equipment for the Palestinians. It may be very small in quantity, but it will help them in their struggle.”
Terming the struggle of Palestinians as a ‘just and lawful struggle,’ Mirza Fakhrul said they have been struggling for saving their lands. “Unfortunately, the Bangladesh government has tactfully abolished the words “except Israel” from the passports. We are deeply shocked for abolishing the words from Bangladesh passports. We express our resentment.”
