Covid infected folk singer Fakir Alamgir in ICU
PBC News: Eminent folk singer Fakir Alamgir was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the capital’s United Hospital on Thursday night.
Earlier, he tested positive for novel coronavirus.
His wife Suraiya Alamgir confirmed the matter on Friday.
He was the founder of ‘Wrishiz Shilpi Gosthi’.
Alamgir worked with Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra during the Liberation War.
He graduated from Jagannath College and later passed MA in Journalism from University of Dhaka.
