Councillor to be rewarded if dengue patients found less in number
PBC News: Dhaka North City Corporation’s (DNCC) Mayor Atiqul Islam has said ward councillor will be rewarded if dengue patients of that ward are found less in number.
The mayor came up with the disclosed during an anti-mosquito drive on Wednesday in city’s Mohammadpur area.
Mayor Atiqul said, “Our 720 volunteers are working at wards under the DNCC. Those volunteer, who would able to capture most of the pictures of the places found existence of aedes mosquito larvae, will also be rewarded.”
Owners of under-construction buildings will be fined if there found mosquito larvae. None will be sparred, he said.
The mayor also announced to start cleaning activities campaign in every Saturday at 10am for 10 minutes.
