LPG prices rise by Tk 102 per cylinder
PBC News: The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has refixed the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) following a hike in the international markets.
As per the new rate, the price of 12-kg LPG from private companies has been fixed at Tk 993 including VAT, up Tk 102. The price was Tk 891 earlier.
The new price will come into effect from August 1.
Meanwhile, the price of state-owned companies’ LP Gas will remain the same at Tk 591 for 12.5 kg cylinder as the production cost was not increased .
BERC Chairman Md Abdul Jalil announced the new price through a virtual briefing on Thursday.
Earlier on April 12, the commission announced the uniform price of LPG for the first time. Since then, the prices have been refixed every month.
