Pori Moni remanded again in drug cases
PBC News: A court in Dhaka on Tuesday placed actor Pori Moni in a two-day remand again in two cases filed under the Narcotics Control Act.
Metropolitan Magistrate Debabrata Das passed the order after investigation officer CID inspector Golam Mostafa produced her this morning with a five-day remand plea in the cases.
Pori Moni and producer Nazrul Islam Raj were produced by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) today.
On August 5, a Dhaka court placed Pori Moni, Raj and Pori Moni’s so-called uncle Ashraful Islam Dipu on a four-day remand in the Narcotics Control Act cases.
Pori Moni was arrested by RAB from her Banani residence in the capital on August 4. A huge quantity of wine, dangerous drug ICE, LSD and equipment for taking drugs were also seized from her residence during the raid.
The elite force has filed two cases against the actress over the possession of alcohol and illegal substances.
