CEC Nurul Huda to observe elections in Russia
PBC News: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda is going to observe the elections of State Duma the State Duma (lower house of the Federal Assembly) slated for September 17 to September 19.
The Election Commission deputy secretary Md Shah Alam sent a letter to the chief accounts and finance officer of the of the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh on Thursday.
CEC KM Nurul Huda will leave Bangladesh for Russia on September 17 and return on September 21. The letter said he will stay in Russia for five days.
The letter said that CEC’s accommodation and local travel expenses would be borne by the Russian Election Commission during the five-day visit. However, the plane fare will be borne by the Bangladesh Election Commission.
According to the letter, Abul Kashem Mohammed Mazharul Islam, private secretary to the CEC, will accompany him during the visit. This is an official tour. At this time they will get all the allowances in local currency. Russia’s elections will be held on September 19.
