HC rule to formulate policy to protect students from bullying
PBC News: The High Court on Sunday issued a rule asking authorities concerned as to why it shall not to order to formulate a policy or guideline to protect students from bullying at educational institutions.
A virtual HC bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Md Mostafizur Rahman passed the order.
Education secretary and other respondents have been asked to reply within four weeks
The High Court in its rule also asked the concerned authorities to explain why their inaction in taking steps against this bullying shall not be declared illegal.
On August 16, a writ was submitted to the HC by Supreme Court lawyer Tanvir Ahmed to stop bullying at the educational institutions.
Earlier an allegation raised that a class X student of Ideal School and College has died after facing bullying of his classmates.
