Education Ministry fixing plan to reopen schools, colleges soon
PBC News: Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam has said the Ministry of Education is fixing a programme to reopen educational institutions quickly.
He said this while responding to a question from reporters at a briefing after the cabinet meeting held at Secretariat on Monday.
The cabinet meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. She chaired the meeting joining virtually from her official residence Ganabhaban.
Asked if there was any discussion in the meeting on reopening the educational institution, the cabinet secretary said, “Earlier, instructions were given at secretary level meeting. Talks were also held with the Ministry of Education today. They are fixing the programme – how, as soon as possible … they will sit down with you for a briefing. Will tell publicly (since when is the educational institution reopening).”
