No accommodation at JU halls for admission seekers
PBC News: The admission seekers of the tests for the first year honours classes at Jahangirnagar University in 2020-2021 academic session will not be able to stay in the residential hall of the university during the test.
The directive was given in a circular signed by the acting registrar of the university Rahima Kaniz on Tuesday.
The admission test of the university will be held from November 7 to 18.
The admission seekers, their relatives or outsiders will not be able to stay in the university hall considering the coronavirus situation.
Professor Mujibur Rahman, chairman of provost committee of residential hall, said, “Admission seekers and their relatives will come from all over the country during the admission test. It is not possible to immediately check whether they have coronavirus or vaccinated.”
“In this situation, we cannot put the students at risk by allowing them to stay in the halls, he added.
