Aminbazar 6 students murder case verdict Dec 2
PBC News: A court in Dhaka will deliver its judgement on December 2 in a case filed over the killing of six students in Savar’s Aminbazar nine years ago.
Dhaka’s Second Additional District and Sessions Judge Ismat Jahan fixed the date on Monday after closing arguments from the both sides.
Earlier the court recorded statements of 54 witnesses out of 92.
The victims were Towhidur Rahman Palash, 20, Kamruzzaman Kanto, 16, and Ibrahim Khalil, 21, were students of Mirpur Bangla College, Shams Rahim Shamim, 18, of Maple Leaf International School, Tipu Sultan, 19, of Tejgaon College and Sitaf Jabi Munib, 20, of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology.
A mob lynched the six youths near Aminbazar bridge at night of Shab-e-Barat on July 18, 2011, suspecting them as robbers.
A day after the incident, Savar Police Station SI Md Anwar Hossain filed a murder case against 500-600 unnamed people of Bardeshi village.
