Khaleda talks slowly: Bhashani’s daughter
PBC News: Five members of Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani’s family have visited ailing BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, who is receiving treatment in city’s Evercare Hospital. They went to the hospital at around 10:30 am on Friday and stayed beside her for about 30 minutes.
The BNP chief has asked the countrymen to pray for her recovery, said Bhasani’s younger daughter Mahmuda Khanam Bhasani after the visit.
About Khaleda’s health condition, Mahmuda Khanam Bhasani said, “Khaleda Zia talks very slowly. She is very weak. She has asked everyone to pray for her.”
She said, “Considering Khaleda Zia’s physical condition, we strongly urge Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to send her (Khaleda) abroad for treatment.”
Bhasani’s grandson Habib Hasan said, “We went to see Khaleda Zia. Doctors told us that her condition is critical. We are demanding on behalf of Bhasani’s family to take her abroad for treatment.”
Mahmudul Huque, another grandson of Bhasani, said, “Maulana Bhasani fought for the oppressed throughout his life. Where there was injustice, he was the voice of protest. On behalf of Maulana Bhasani’s family, we urge the government to give Khaleda Zia the opportunity to avail better treatment.”
