Tajikistan engineer killed being hit by truck at Rooppur power plant site

PBC News:  A Tajikistan engineer working at the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant at Ishwardi in Pabna was killed after a goods carrying vehicle hit him on Friday morning.

Barjahan, 35, was working as an engineer at Russian construction firm, Nikimth, at Rooppur Power Plant, reports our Pabna correspondent quoting Inspector (investigation) Md Hadiul Islam of Ishwardi Police Station.

“The accident happened at about 9:30am when the construction vehicle hit the victim, leaving him dead on the spot,” said the inspector.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex where doctors pronounced them as dead.
