BSF beat up 5 Bangladeshis along Moulvibazar border
PBC News: Members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) have allegedly beat up five Bangladeshi nationals along Adampur border at kamalganj upazila in Moulvibazar district.
The injured persons are: Alik Mia, Habib Mia, Ahad Mia, Afjal, and Nazir Mia, residents of Purbo Kathalkandi village under Adampur union in the upazila.
The victims’ relatives and locals said the five persons went to cut bamboos in a hill near the border on Tuesday afternoon.
They mistakenly entered the Indian territory.
Later, the BSF men picked up them, beat them up mercilessly and left them in the no man’s land.
Though the injured were given first aid, Afjal and Nazir are in a critical condition.
While contacted, BGB-46 Battalion Commander Lt Col Mizanur Rahman Sikder said they are looking into matter.
