Dentist stabbed to death by ‘muggers’ in Dhaka
PBC News: A dentist was stabbed to death by ‘muggers’ in the city’s Shewrapara area early Sunday. Deceased Ahmed Bulbul, 34, was a dentist and he used to practice at his chamber in Maghbazar.
Mahtab Uddin, deputy commissioner of Mirpur Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, said some unknown miscreants stabbed Dr Bulbul in the area at about 5:00am, leaving him critically injured.
He was rushed to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital where an on-duty doctor declared him dead.
The body, which bore several injury marks, was sent to the hospital morgue.
“We are investigating the matter and trying to find out the culprits,” police said.
