Social Welfare Minister being brought to Dhaka from Rangpur

PBC News:  Social Welfare Minister Nuruzzaman Ahmed is being brought to Dhaka from Rangpur Medical College Hospital for better treatment.

He was admitted to the coronary care unit (CCU) of the cardiology department of the Rangpur Medical College Hospital at about 2:30 am on Sunday with severe chest pain.

He felt chest pain while staying his village home in Lalmonirhat’s Kaliganj.

Professor Dr Bimal Roy of the hospital said the minister had been suffering from heart problems for a long time, adding that “His condition is now stable but he needs advanced treatment. That’s why he is being taken to Dhaka.”

Preparations are underway to bring him to Dhaka by an air ambulance for advanced treatment.
