It happens at night, JaPa secretary general tells EC
PBC News: Jatiya Party secretary general Mujibul Haque Chunnu on Sunday said that rigging in election occurs if the ballot papers are sent at night before the election.
He urged the Election Commission to send ballot papers at polling stations in the morning during election to avoid vote rigging.
The Jatiya Party secretary general made this demand during a dialogue with Election Commission at Nirbachan Bhaban in Dhaka. A delegation, led by the JaPa secretary general, participated in the dialogue in the morning.
In the dialogue, Mujibul Haque said, “But the work (voting at night) happens at night. That happens; it means we gave instruction to do it. What can say, it happens.”
About next general election, the JaPa secretary general, said, “We do not have confidence in EVMs. I do not have any confidence in it either. People think that there is nothing to do if the votes are manipulated in EVM. There is no scope to recheck the result.”
