Schoolboy killed in Tejgaon: Students block Farmgate

PBC News:  Government Science School and College’s student staged demonstration on Monday protesting the death of their fellow classmate in a road accident.

They took to the street at 11am holding placards ” We want safe road” and blocked Farmgate main road demanding safe road and justice. Some other students of different schools and collges in and around the area joined with them.

Later, they went to Bijoy Sarani and sit-in there.

To take the situation under control, Tejgaon zone ADC Robayet Hasan said they and the college teachers manged to take the students to Farmgate.

The protesting students staged the demonstration till 1pm.

Shahidul Islam, a protesting student, alleged that police never take any action against the drivers of the vehicles which moves on high speed in front of the school. For this, one of the student died in a road accident.

On Sunday (September 11), Md Ali Hossain, 17, a student of Class X at Government Science School and College at Tejgaon, was killed after a bus ran over him when he was going to his school.
