JaPa won’t backtrack to take some unpopular decisions: GM Quader
He said JaPa doesn’t want to sustain in politics supporting any other party.
“JaPa will sustain in politics facing the challenges. If someone of the party appears as an impediment, we will not backtracked to take any unpopular decisions,” he warned.
GM Quader was speaking at an exchange of opinion meeting with Mymensingh Division leaders of Jatiya Party at the party chairman’s Banani office auditorium in the capital early Sunday afternoon.
Referring to the remark, GM Quader said, “Some of us believe that a particular political party will make them ministers and MPs in a short-cut way winning the next parliamentary elections through vote rigging on EVMs. Those who believe it, they are germs for Jatiya Party. They must leave Jatiya Party, or them should reform themselves. We’ll face all the challenges to build a stronger Jatiya Party. If necessary, we’ll not backtrack in taking some unpopular decisions.”
Opposing the voting on EVMs, Quader said, “We want free, fair and impartial election. We want to ensure the voting rights of people. We have been opposing the use of EVMs in the election from the very beginning. We think there are lots of scopes of vote rigging through the EVMs. It is not possible to challenge the results announced after vote rigging through EVMs.”
Asserting that Jatiya Party would not do slavery of any particular individual or party, GM Quader said, “JaPa is not with either Awami League or BNP right now. We may build friendship with someone else, but Jatiya Party will never do slavery of any political party. We speak in favour of the country’s people. We do politics for the country’s welfare.
