Govt’s agents make stories of break up among alliance partners: Fakhrul
PBC NEWS DESK: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has alleged that the government’s agents are making fake stories of break up among the alliance partners now involved in joint movement. But, the BNP’s only objective is to become successful forging unity and launching a greater movement against Sheikh Hasina led government.
He was addressing a press briefing after holding a meeting with the liaison committee of Ganatantra Mancha at the BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan office on Friday (January 27).
Mirza Fakhrul said success of the previous programme to make the anti-government joint movement a success was reviewed at the meeting with the liaison committee of Ganatantra Mancha and the future of next course of action was discussed.
“We also hold talks about our movement after February 4,” he said.
Referring to Sheikh Selim’s remarks in parliament that “Khaleda Zia became freed signing a bond,” Fakhrul said his claims were totally baseless, propaganda and tricks.
Nagorik Oikya president Mahmudur Rahman Manna said, “We expect that our joint movement will become successful soon. We have discussed how to take our movement to a success gradually. We also discussed how to bring other political parties to our alliance.
“BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, standing committee member Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku, vice-chairman Barkat Ullah Bulu and joint secretary general Moazzem Hossain Alal took part in the meeting with the liaison committee on behalf of BNP.
On the other hand, ASM Abdur Rab, Mahmudur Rahman Manna, Saiful Huque, Jonayed Saki, Nurul Huque Nur, Sheikh Rafiqul Islam Bablu and Advocate Hasnat Qaiyyum joined the meeting.
