কোটা সংস্কার আন্দোলনে উত্তাল ছাত্র সমাজ। প্রধানমন্ত্রীর বিদ্বেষমূলক বক্তব্য মেনে নিতে না পেরে কয়েকদিন। আগে মধ্য রাতে শুরু হয় রাজাকার স্লোগান। ছাত্রদের এমন স্লোগান মেনে নিতে পারেনি দ্বিতীয় পক্ষ। তারপরই শুরু হয় দুই পক্ষের সংঘর্ষ। নিরপরাধ ছাত্রসমাজের বুকে নির্দ্বিধায় গুলি চালিয়েছে পুলিশ। সেই গুলিতে ঝড়ে গেছে রংপুরের বেগম রোকেয়া বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে অধ্যয়নরত ছাত্র সাইদের তাজা প্রাণ। নিহত শিক্ষার্থী সাইদই ছিলেন পরিবারের একমাত্র ভরসা। বৃদ্ধ বাবা-মা ও পরিবারের উপর নেমে এসেছে শোকের ছায়া। অন্যদিকে পুলিশের ছোড়া রাবার বুলেট বিদ্ধ হয় রংপুর সরকারী বালিকা উচ্চবিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষার্থীর মিতার চোখে।
