পিবিসি নিউজ: জাতীয় বিপ্লব ও সংহতি দিবস উপলক্ষ্যে গত ২০শে নভেম্বর ২০২৪, রোজ বুধবার বাফেলো শহরে এক আলোচনা সভা ও দোয়া মাহফিল অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। যুক্তরাষ্ট্র বিএনপির সাবেক প্রচার সম্পাদক নাজমুল আলমের সভাপতিত্বে অনুষ্ঠিত আলোচনা সভায় বিএনপির ভারপ্রাপ্ত চেয়ারম্যান তারেক রহমানের ৬০তম জন্মদিন উপলক্ষ্যে দোয়া পরিচালনা করেন- বরিশাল জেলা ছাত্রদলের সাবেক সাংস্কৃতিক বিষয়ক সম্পাদক ও বরিশাল বিভাগীয় সোসাইটি অফ বাফেলোর সাধারণ সম্পাদক মাসুম বিল্লাহ।

পালিয়ে যাওয়া সাবেক প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার মতো নতুন কোনো স্বৈরাচারী সরকারের যেন জন্ম হতে না পারে সেই জন্য বিএনপি ভারপ্রাপ্ত চেয়ারম্যান তারেক রহমানের প্রস্তাবিত ৩১দফা সংস্কার প্রস্তাব বাস্তবায়নের দাবিতে, জনগণের মাঝে সচেতনতা তৈরী ও বিএনপির হাতকে শক্তিশালী করার নতুন কর্মসূচি নিয়ে বাফেলো বিএনপির এই অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান বক্তা হিসাবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন- নিউইয়র্ক স্টেট্ বিএনপি ওয়েস্ট গঠন সমন্বয় কমিটির প্রধান সমন্বয়ক ও পিবিসি টুয়েন্টিফোর টেলিভিশনের প্রধান সম্পাদক মতিউর রহমান লিটু।

অনুষ্ঠানের শুরুতে ৭ই নভেম্বর- জাতীয় বিপ্লব ও সংহতি দিবস বিষয়ে বিস্তারিত আলোচনা করেন অবিভক্ত ঢাকা মহানগর তাঁতীদলের সাবেক সদস্য সচিব আব্দুর রহিম, ঢাকা বিশ্ব বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সাবেক ছাত্রদল নেতা ও বরিশাল বিভাগীয় সোসাইটি অফ বাফেলোর সভাপতি সৈয়দ ঝিলু।

অনুষ্ঠানটি যৌথভাবে পরিচালনা করেন যথাক্রমে- বরিশাল বিএম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সাবেক ছাত্রদল নেতা ও বিএনপি নিউইয়র্ক মহানগর উত্তর এর সাবেক সদস্য আবু জাফর ফরাজী এবং নিউইয়র্ক মহানগর বিএনপি দক্ষিণের সাবেক সদস্য তারিকুল ইসলাম প্রিন্স মৃধা।

মূলধারার রাজনীতির সাথে বিএনপির নেতাকর্মীদের সংযুক্ত হওয়ার আহ্বান জানিয়ে শহীদ প্রেসিডেন্ট জিয়াউর রহমানের ১৯দফা ও ভারপ্রাপ্ত চেয়ারম্যান তারেক রহমানের ৩১দফা সংস্কার প্রস্তাব জনগণের মাঝে পৌঁছে দিতে কার্যকরী পদক্ষেপ নেয়ার আহ্বান জানিয়েছেন বাফেলো সিটি হলে কর্মরত কম্পিউটার নেটওয়ার্ক ইঞ্জিনিয়ার ও নিউইয়র্ক স্টেট্ বিএনপি ওয়েস্ট গঠন আন্দোলনের অন্যতম নেতা জাভেদ মোস্তফা।

এছাড়া এই আলোচনা সভায় অন্যান্য বিএনপি নেতাদের মধ্যে উপস্থিত ছিলেন- ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সাবেক ছাত্রনেতা ও বরিশাল বিভাগীয় সোসাইটি অফ বাফেলোর সিনিয়র সহ সভাপতি মনিরুজ্জামান মিয়া, বাফেলো বিএনপি নেতা সালমান সরকার, ছাত্রনেতা সিয়াম আহাম্মেদ, কবির উদ্দিন, ছাত্রনেতা রাকিব , মিলাদুল ইসলাম, কাজী করিম, সামসুল আলম রিটু, মোহাম্মদ রিপন মল্লিক, সানজিদুল ইসলাম, মোহাম্মদ তাওহীদুল রাফি, মোহাম্মদ পুনম, সাখাওয়াত হোসেন সহ আরো অনেকে। নৈশভোজের মাধ্যমে অনুষ্ঠানের সমাপ্তি ঘোষণা করা হয়।
