১০ ট্রাক অস্ত্র মামলায় আপিল শুনানি শেষে বিএনপি নেতা লুৎফুজ্জামান বাবরসহ পাঁচজন খালাস পেয়েছেন। ২০১৪ সালে মৃত্যুদণ্ড প্রাপ্ত এই মামলার আসামিদের মধ্যে বাবরের মুক্তি নিশ্চিত হয়েছে। এছাড়া, ভারতীয় বিচ্ছিন্নতাবাদী সংগঠন উলফার সামরিক কমান্ডার পরেশ বড়ুয়া সহ আরও চারজনের সাজা কমানো হয়েছে। ১০ ট্রাক অস্ত্র মামলায় মোট ১৪ আসামির মধ্যে পাঁচজনকে সাজা, পাঁচজনকে খালাস এবং চারজনকে মারা যাওয়ার কারণে অব্যাহতি দেওয়া হয়েছে। বাবর ১৬ জানুয়ারি মুক্তি পাচ্ছেন।
