Govt asks to close all madrasas
PBC News: The government has ordered closure of Qawmi and all other madrasas (residential and non-residential) until further notice.
But, the orphanages will remain open.

Issuing an order in this regard on Tuesday, the Education Ministry said no laxity in obeying the order will be allowed.
It said that the Prime Minister’s Office on March 29 issued a notification asking to close all educational institutions, including the madrasas due to continuous rise in Covid-19 cases. At present lockdown is in force in the country. The government had earlier, taken a decision to close all educational institution till 22 May.
Despite the government order, some residential and non-residential madrasas are still open, which is highly risky in the current Covid situation, it said adding Qawmi and all others madrasas are asked to remain closed until further notice.
After detection of first Covid 19 patient on March 8 last year, the government declared closure of all educational institutions from March 17 that year.
