John Kerry leaves Dhaka

PBC News: US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry left Dhaka at 5.48pm today (Friday).Foreign Minister Dr A K Abdul Momen saw him off at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.

Kerry arrived at 11:30am on Friday to invite Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to the “Global Leaders’ Summit on Climate Change” to be hosted by US President Joe Biden on April 22-23.

He first met with Foreign Minister Momen; Environment and Climate Change Minister Shahab Uddin; Saber Hossain Chowdhury MP and other officials concerned at the state guest house Padma.

Kerry then called upon the PM at the Ganabhaban to hand over the invitation letter from President Joe Biden.
