In the comments section of the actress’ post, her fans expressed their happiness with comments like “you’re the strongest” and “the best news of the day.” Alia Bhatt had shared her COVID-19 diagnosis on April 1 but more on that later.

Alia Bhatt was filming Gangubai Kathiawadi with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Brahmastra with boyfriend, actor Ranbir Kapoor, before the duo contracted COVID-19 last month. They have recovered from the coronavirus now. Just days after Ranbir Kapoor was diagnosed with coronavirus, Alia had shared a statement about her negative test report on her Instagram story on March 11: “I have been reading all your messages of concern and care. I have tested negative for COVID-19 and after isolating and speaking with my doctors, I am back to work from today. Thank you for all your good wishes. I am taking care and staying safe. You please do the same.”

Earlier this month, Alia Bhatt revealed that she tested positive for the coronavirus and issued a statement that read: “Hello all, I have tested positive for COVID-19. I have immediately isolated myself and will be under home quarantine. I am following all safety protocols under the advice of my doctors.”
