Mamunul placed on 7-day fresh remand
PBC News: A Dhaka court has placed Hefazat-e-Islam’s joint secretary general Mamunul Huque on a seven-day fresh remand in two separate cases filed with Paltan and Motijheel Police stations.

He was put on a four-day remand in a case filed with Paltan Police Station in 2013 and a three-day remand in a case filed with Motijheel Police Station.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sadbir Yasir Ahsan Chodhury passed the order on Monday.
Earlier, police produced him before the court on completion of his seven days’ remand and prayed for 20 days’ remand for him in the two cases filed with Motijheel and Paltan police stations.
Besides, police filed a petition to keep him in the jail until the investigation in a theft case filed with Mohammadpur police was over.On April 19, a Dhaka court placed Mamunul on a seven-day remand in a violence case filed with Mohammadpur Police Station.
Mamunul Huque is an accused in minimum 17 cases filed with different police stations in the capital.Police arrested Mamunul Huque from Jamiya Rahmania Madrasa at Mohammadpur in the capital on April 18.
