Bangladesh stops registration for Covid-19 vaccination
PBC News: The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has stopped the online registration for coronavirus vaccination after suspending the first dose of jabs.

Dr. Meerjady Sabrina Flora, Addl. Director General (Planning and Development) of the DGHS, disclosed it to journalists on Wednesday (May 5).
“We’ve suspended the registration for vaccination for the time being. You know that the consignments of vaccine have not arrived in Bangladesh according to the agreement. So, we want to complete the vaccination of those who have already registered their names,” she said.
Dr. Flora said the registration for Covid-19 vaccination will remain suspended till further directive. Registration will resume when the first dose of vaccination will start anew.
Earlier on April 26, the DGHS stopped the first dose of vaccination. According to the latest data of the DGHS, 31 lakh 6 thousand 709 persons took the second dose of vaccine till May 5, while 58 lakh 19 thousand 757 persons took the first dose of vaccine in the country. The nationwide coronavirus vaccination programme started on February 7.
