Eight followers of Quader Mirza sustain bullet injuries
PBC News: At least eight persons sustained bullet-injuries during a clash between two factions of Awami League at Companiganj upazila in Noakhali district on Saturday night.
The clash took place at around 7:30 pm in ward No. 9 of Basurhat municipality between followers of Basurhat pouro mayor Quader Mirza and his nephew Mahbubur Rashid Manzu.
All of the injured persons are the followers of Quader Mirza.

They were first taken to to Companiganj Upazila Health Complex and later shifted to to Noakhali General Hospital.
According to local sources, followers of Quader Mirza brought out procession rallies in several unions of the upazila and wards of Basurhat municipality on Saturday evening.
Later, a clash took place in ward No. 9 between two groups.
At one point, gunfire erupted that left at least eight persons injured.
However, Manzu denied the allegations and said, “None of my people have left the house.”
Companiganj Police Station OC Mir Jahedul Haque Rony said additional police were deployed in the area to avert any kinds of untoward situation.
Meanwhile, Abdul Quader Mirza on a Facebook live at 9 pm gave a 24-hour ultimatum, demanding withdrawal of ASP Shamim, UNO Zia, OC Ronney and Assistant Commissioner (land) Subhat.
