Fazli mango gets GI recognition
PBC News: The mango king Fazli, a species of mangoes produced in Rajshahi district, has been recognised as a Geographical Indication (GI) product of Bangladesh.
The Department of Patents, Designs and Trademarks (DPDT) has registered Fazli mango as the country’s third GI product and will hand over a certificate to the Bangladesh Rice Research Institute.
Dr Alim Uddin, chief scientific officer of Rajshahi Fruit Research Center, on Friday confirmed the matter.
