Six made secretaries, offices of 3 secretaries reshuffled

PBC News:  The government has promoted six additional secretaries to the post of secretary, while the offices of three secretaries have been reshuffled.

Ministry of Public Administration issued separate notifications in this regard on Thursday.

Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED) Secretary Pradeep Ranjan Chakrabarty has been transferred to the Planning Division as Secretary, while Central Medical Stores Depot (CMSD) Director (Additional Secretary) Abu Hena Morshed Zaman has been made IMED Secretary.

Secretary, Statistics & Informatics Division, Ministry of Planning Mohammad Yamin Chowdhury has been transferred to the Fisheries and Livestock Ministry as Secretary, while Additional Secretary Dr Shahnaz Arefin who was attached to the Cabinet Division has been made Secretary to the Statistics & Informatics Division.

Posts and Telecommunications Secretary Md Afzal Hossain has been made Chairman of the Bangladesh Trade and Tariff Commission, while Dhaka Divisional Commissioner Md Khalilur Rahman has been made Posts and Telecommunications Secretary.

Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) chairman Amitabh Sarker has been made Chairman of the Land Appeal Board. The post of Land Appeal Board chairman is equivalent to the post of Secretary.

Commerce Ministry’s additional secretary Soleman Khan has been made Land Reform Board chairman which is also equivalent to the post of Secretary.

Economic Relation Division’s additional secretary Kazi Enamul Hasan has been made Religious Affairs Secretary. Sylhet Divisional Commissioner Md Khalilur Rahman has been made Dhaka Divisional Commissioner.

Besides, Muhammad Mosharraf Hossain, additional secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, has been made Sylhet Divisional Commissioner.
