There’ll be no seating, gate-lock services in Dhaka in 3 days: BRTA
PBC News: Public transport owners have decided to abolish seating and gate-lock service system in Dhaka city within next three days.
“No buses will ply in the metropolitan areas with seating and waybill services after three days. Action will be taken, if any buses violate the order, ” said Bangladesh Road Transport Owners Association secretary general Khandaker Enayet Ullah at a press conference at Kazi Nazrul Islam Avenue.
Regarding the issue, 11 monitoring teams will be formed on Wednesday to ensure that no extra fare is charged to passengers in the metropolitan areas, he added.
The teams will monitor the situation with the help of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) and Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
The passengers face troubles as the seating service buses are not follow any rules. For this, the service will be abolished.
