Plastic factory catches fire in Dhaka’s Shyampur
PBC News: A fire broke out at a plastic factory in Dhaka’s Shyampur area early hours of Monday. After one hour of frantic effort, eight fire fighting units managed to bring the blaze under their control.
Shahjahan Shikder, Deputy Assistant Director (media cell) of the Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters, confirmed the matter this morning.
The fire originated at 2am at Delwar Plastic and Sweet Footwear on Postogola High School Road.
The fire fighters, however, extinguished the blaze around 3:40am.
The fire originated from an electric short circuit, the official said.
No casualties were reported.
