Gana Commission’s list against alem-ulemas is audacity: Hefazat
PBC News: Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh has strongly criticized Gana Commission, a body coordinated by Ekattorer Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee, for submitting a list of 116 Islamic preachers to Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) alleging militant financing and spoiling communal harmony.
So-called Gana Commission has shown extreme audacity by submitting a list of 116 prominent ulama-mashayekhs and Islamic preachers to the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) alleging militant financing and spoiling of communal harmony, said Hefazat-e-Islam Ameer Shah Muhibullah Babungari in a statement on Thursday.
He said that there would be a danger of creating extreme unrest in the country due to these fabricated allegations.
Muhibullah Babungari said, “Today, we have come to know about the allegations made by the so-called Gana Commission formed by the coordination of Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee. This fraud organization (Ghatak Dalal Nirmul Committee) has, as always, exposed its Islamophobic face to the nation.”
The fact is that their white paper is completely baseless, fabricated and full of false information which is clear as daylight in front of the countrymen, he added.
The Hefazat Ameer said the leaders of this so-called Gana Commission have lost their legitimacy by making baseless and baseless allegations against prominent Islamic preachers.
Through these unrealistic words, they (Gana Comission) have turned themselves as matter of joke in front of the nation, said Muhibullah Babungari.
Expressing deep concern Muhibullah Babungari said the government should resist those who are carrying out these provocative activities.
The Hefazat Ameer warned that if the government does not tackle this organization with iron hand now, then mass people would be forced to launch a tough movement.
