RSRM MD Maksudur Rahman arrested
PBC News: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested Maksudur Rahman, managing director of Ratanpur Steel Re-Rolling Mills Ltd. (RSRM), from a house in the capital’s Gulshan area on Wednesday night.
Some bank checks and credit cards were seized from his possession during the drive.
Maksudur Rahman is an warranted accused as loan defaulter.
On an information that Maksudur had gone into hiding in a house in Gulshan four days ago, a team of the elite force raided the house at 11 pm and arrested him from there after two hours’ of drive.
He is accused of not repaying loans of more than Tk 2,500 crore from various banks.
The court imposed a travel ban on Maksudur Rahman in February this year.
